Bio: Every environmental issue is an animal rights issue–how could it not be?

I will address how our daily choices adversely impact the lives of free-living, non-human animals and share practical steps we can take to live more respectfully on a shared Earth. I advocate for broadening the animal rights movement to go well beyond diet and clothing; a true culture of respect requires a paradigm shift that values the lives of free-living animals in everything we do.

Since childhood, I have cared deeply about the well-being of other animals. This led me to stop eating animals and eggs at six years old, choose to be vegan at 17, and become an activist a few years later. Now, I also speak in schools and at vegan events about a wide range of animal rights issues. From the beginning of my involvement in the animal rights movement, I have been passionate about finding ways to live more harmoniously with those we share the Earth with.
